Until August 15 at Casa Prochelle I, located at Los Robles 4, on Isla Teja de Valdivia, the exhibition "El mundo de Zahidra" will be available, the first creative experience based on elements of the territory, by the Valdivian self-taught author and artist, Sandra Levia.Regarding the creation process, the author explained that the exhibition represents a creation process of at least 10 years, which includes 16 acrylic and oil paintings, as well as eight sculptures."I was incorporating new components to the painting such as stones, wood, seeds and textures and, in turn, experimenting with new forms of inspiration, such as drawings made in charcoal and pastel, inspired by women or compositions or wooden mobiles", said.And she added that precisely in search of these elements, she began to identify places and times to collect pieces of wood and seeds, which come from sectors in Calcurrupe, Curiñanco, Lago Ranco, Playa Rosada, among others."There are beaches where wood awaits you, places with colored stones and forests with magical decorations," said Sandra Leiva, who is a journalist by profession.With the fusion of these natural elements, the artist created characters that account for the territories to which the wood, stones and seeds that compose it belong.Among them, stands out for example "La dama estero", "Mr. Chaihuín", "The bird of Lago Ranco", "Marilyn", "The angel of the forest", among others.In this sense, Leiva highlighted that the idea that motivated her to create this exhibition was to transmit the beauty and creativity present in nature.“You just have to stop, observe and imagine.Each piece expresses a new narrative from plastic creation because it houses time, connection with the territory and a story that hopes to travel to the heart”, concluded the author.Finally, the exhibition is open and free to the public.
